Tour to RIBA headquarter in London and Exhibitions

10 senior HongKongers were invited to go on this tour. Most of them are ex professors from Hong Kong, who have given invaluable talks at GLHK.

They are interested in the architecture in London. They are also a group of people that would not use Eventbrite or similar tools to join any activities run by other Hong Kong Communities.

It is a way to exchange our expertise and also a way to honour their good offerings to GLHK’s community in return.

Prior to the tour, architectural drawings were prepared and provided to participants by emails.

Certain information from the web site is provided to them for prior reading.

The date was chosen for the walk because there were two very good exhibitions held in the RIBA. One of them is the major work by a gold medallist who awarded highest honour in architectural contribution to the world.

We walked through the building and explained the design of the building inside and the expression of the  architectural features that celebrated the contribution of all people involved in the building industry.

After the walk, we all went to have lunch in a nearby canteen run by the International student union.
