“Transmissions”
Book Talk and Exhibition of the works of Chris Bird - A local poet and artist in Camden.
The talk will be presented by Tom Mallender, editor and the founder of Write-London, he will share with the audiences the works of Write-London as an independent publisher in London, the journey of publishing the book with Chris Bird and will read some of Chris’s poets.
Michael Tsang, will be the responder, he is poet and a lecturer in Birkbeck University.
“Transmissions” is the personal stories of Chris Bird, about homelessness, mental illness and drugs. GLHK is honoured to have the present of the author Chris Bird at the opening of the exhibition and at the introduction of the talk.
Through his humous presentation of his real-life experience, the massage of this important issue that is often being disregarded in society must be heard by the wider audiences.
Audiences are reminded to respect the author and the content when attending to the book talk and the exhibition.
Write-London is an independent publisher in London. The idea of the organization is “Everyone has a story to tell, Write-London helps them be heard”.
Since 2014, Write-London has been facilitating creative workshops in local communities. It is a creative art project, collaborating with people to create poems and other forms of writing, along with artworks reflecting upon that writing.
